:-) – Erik F 20. jan 2014 kl. 11:46 (UTC)

Happy New Year form Italy!!!
rættaDearest EileenSanda, Heppy New Year! How are you?
I'm making a new short page in Wiki.FO; I'll take all the news you put for me in the other page you helped. I'll put just a line in English (10-12 words). Please, I ask 5 minutes of you time to translate only this line.
In 4-5 hours I'll make the new page, ok? Thanks a lot for your precious help, and have a nice week end!

- On January 21, Universal Language Selector was turned off on all Wikimedia sites because it makes pages load slowly. If you want to use web fonts, or write in scripts that aren't on your keyboard, you need to add it as an option in your preferences. It will be turned back on when the issues are resolved. [53]
- For about 20 minutes on the same day, there were problems with CSS and JavaScript due to high server load.
Future software changes
- You can give comments about the new version of "Winter", a proposal to have a fixed toolbar at the top of wiki pages. [54]

Hi, how are you?
rættaHi EileenSanda, come stai (how are you)? Here it's too cold, but we haven't yet seen snow.
Please, I would like to know, if I'll make a pege, if you can help me to correct a little, just 10 minutes.
Thank you for your precious help!
questions!
rætta1) I have accidently created that page: https://fo.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Boo,_Sweden&redirect=no - could you delete it?
2) All categories with sportsmen are Ítróttarfólk, but this one is Ítróttafólk: https://fo.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%B3lkur:%C3%8Dtr%C3%B3ttaf%C3%B3lk_%C3%BAr_Fraklandi - I was wondering if it is ok?
3) If I'd like to change my user name here, where should i report it? :) --Ikkefast (talk) 7. feb 2014 kl. 20:58 (UTC)
- I have deleted that page you requested to delete. Regarding change of username, I think there are only two person here who can help you, try to ask user Nicely, the other one is Quackor, but he has not been active for a long period now. I am only an administrator, not Bureaucrat. About the categories Sportspeople, I think that Ítróttafólk is the correct one and ítróttarfólk is wrong, so actually only one of these categories are spelled correctly according to the dictionary. If one tries to search on Google for Ítróttarfólk and ítróttafólk, you can find more results with the wrong spelling. We (Faroese people) have difficulties spelling our own language, it is difficult to hear if the word has an r or not, it has something to do with singular and plural, if it should be Ítróttarfólk with an r then there should be only one type of sport involved, but there isn't, there are different kinds of sports and therefore it should be spelled in the plural way Ítróttafólk. But I don't know, if we shoul correct the mistakes or not, it will take some time. EileenSanda (talk) 7. feb 2014 kl. 21:43 (UTC)
Thank you for you help!
rættaDearest EileenSanda, thanks for you help in the pages Dario Fo, and Caselle Landi the peaceful village where I live.
Have a nice Sunday

rættaI saw that Faroese is your native language. Could you tell me what does mean word "læraraprógv"? Please answer at my Polish Wikipedia talk page. Regards, Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 15:31 (UTC)
- So I could write that person who has "læraraprógv" ended teacher studies? Greetings from Poland :)! Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 16:49 (UTC)
- Yes, you could do that. EileenSanda (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 16:51 (UTC)

- Could you help me one more time? Here are the former Ministers of Finance of Faroe Islands. But what before 1959? There are four people. And what does mean "Fyri 1959 vóru fíggjarmál ikki sjálvstøðugt málsøki"? Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 17:32 (UTC)
- "Fyri 1959 vóru fíggjarmál ikki sjálvstøðugt málsøki" means "Before 1959 Fiancial Affairs did not have their own Ministery", the minister was just called minister (landsstýrismaður) and not i.e. Minister of Finance. There is a list of the Finance Ministers on English, Faroese and two more languages here on Wikipedia. Sounds very good that you write about Farose issues on the Polish Wikipedia :) EileenSanda (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 18:51 (UTC)

1951-1954: Hákun Djurhuus, landsstýrismaður, fólkaflokkurin Richard Long, landsstýrismaður, fólkaflokkurin
12. mai 1948 – 15. desember 1950: Andrass Samuelsen, løgmaður, sambandsflokkurin Kristian Djurhuus, landsstýrismaður, sambandsflokkurin Jóan Petur Davidsen, landsstýrismaður, javnaðarflokkurin Louis Zachariasen, landsstýrismaður, sjálvstýrisflokkurin. What is that list of? Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 19:04 (UTC)
- And one more question - Here Hákun Djurhuus is listed as minister of few things. So minister of what was he? Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 19:32 (UTC)
The list from the period 1948 - 1959 is of the Faroese governments, the prime minister and other ministers, but that page does not say what they were responsible of and I don't know it either.
There were no specific ministries back then, there were some minister who were responsible for several affairs, but they were not called minister of this and that as far as I can see. But it does say in that link you added, that Hákun Djurhuus from 1963 - 1967 was Prime minister, but at the same time he was also minister of
- "Uttanlands-, heilsu- og samferðslumál" which means that he was minister of foreign affairs (uttanlandsmál), health (heilsumál) and infrastructure (samferðslumál). Løgmaður means Prime minister (Løg=Law, maður=man) and landsstýrismaður means minister (landsstýri=government, maður=man). EileenSanda (talk) 15. feb 2014 kl. 00:59 (UTC)
- Thanks :) Żyrafał (talk) 15. feb 2014 kl. 08:04 (UTC)
- Could you translate information about Donald Tusk, which you added? I want to add sources, but I don't know Faroese... Żyrafał (talk) 16. feb 2014 kl. 20:00 (UTC)
- Which text do you mean? I just added a little bit more text and corrected your text. I translated some of the Norwegian wiki-article, they mentioned about the Charlemagne Prize. I also wrote that he belongs to the liberal party Platforma Obywatelska and that he lost the president election against Lech Kaczyński. EileenSanda (talk) 17. feb 2014 kl. 00:50 (UTC)
- Thanks. I added sources. Żyrafał (talk) 17. feb 2014 kl. 18:53 (UTC)

Eg komi...
Tað hevði verið stuttligt at møtt tær. Skulu tit framføra dansin onkrastaðni? Er tað fólkadansur, ið tit dansa? EileenSanda (talk) 25. feb 2014 kl. 07:22 (UTC)
Ljóðar ordiliga gott, at svenskarar koma her at dansa føroyskan dans :) eg var sjálv aktiv í føroyskum dansi tá eg búði í Keypmannahavn, tað var í Fótatraðk, har vóru mest føroyingar men eisini nakrir fáir danir. Eg havi ikki verið so aktiv við føroyskum dansi her suðuri, men eg elski tann føroyska dansin. Eg havi eina systir, ið býr á Sandi, hevði tað verið lættari at ferðast so hevði eg kanska fari ein túr norður, men eg veit ikki, tað havi eg ikki havt planir um. Man má norður til Havnar fyrst, fyri at ferðast millum Sandoy og Suðuroy, men nú kemur Sandoyartunnilin í 2021 væntandi (millum Streymoy og Sandoy). Ná, men tit mugu hava ein góðan túr til Føroya og her í Føroyum við nokk av føroyskum dansi :) Vinarlig heilsan EileenSanda (talk) 25. feb 2014 kl. 14:11 (UTC)

- Hey Jørgen (eg havi heldur onki svenskt ø), tit sungu sera væl í útvarpinum :) Edd ð plagar at vera beint við enter knappin, til høgru fyri å. Føroyska knappaborðið manglar tíverri hasir prikkarnar, ið man brúkar á svenskum, íslendskum og týskum. Ná, hevði hann aldri hoyrt um at tað finst ein føroysk Wikipedia? So kann hann ikki brúka Google ella aðrar leitiskipanir serliga nógv... eg finni í hvussu so er ofta greinar á føroysku Wikipediu, tá eg leiti á Google. Føroyka Wikipedia verður ikki nevnd nakað serligt í føroydsku fjølmiðlunum, men eg síggi, at føroyskir journalistar ofta brúka hana, og einaferð, haldi tað var næstseinasta summar, tá skrivaði Dimmalætting eina nokk so stóra grein um føroysku Wikipediu, og ein mynd av mær kom á forsíðuna við heitinum "Hon skrivar føroysku Wikipediu" ella okkurt sovorði, hihi, sum um eg einsamøll skrivi alt, tað er so langt ífrá :) Eg royndi at greiða frá um brúkaran Nicely, sum eisini hevur skrivað sera nógv og um brúkaran Quackor, sum var ein av stovnarunum av føroysku Wikipediuni, men blaðmaðurin valdi so at taka støði í mær og gjørdi samrøðu við meg. Síðan tá havi eg onkuntíð fingið viðmerkingar frá fólki um at eg skrivi á Wikipedia, og unkuntíð hevur onkur spurt, um eg kann rætta okkurt, sum er komið skeivt fyri á føroysku Wikipediuni, tey spyrja fyrst, "Er tað ikki tú, ið skrivar føroysku Wikipediu?", og eg svari "Øh, jú, eisini, men ein og hvør kann skriva og rætta har", men sjálvandi kann eg rætta tað ið eg verið biðin um at rætta, um fólk ikki tora í holt við tað sjálvi (tað er ikki hent ofta, bara nakrar fáar ferðir). Eg haldi, at tey yngru fólkini kenna betri til føroysku Wikipediu, enn tey eldru gera, men tað veit eg sjálvandi ikki við vissu.
- Ja, tey frá Tjóðsavninum kunnu gott spyrja meg um vegleiðing um at bólka (kategorisera) osfr. ella kunnu tey senda mær listar yvir tað ið tú bað um, so kann eg royna at seta tað inn. Tey kunnu skriva her á kjaksíðuna ella ringja til mín.
- Tú mást hava eitt gott og hugnaligt kvøld í Havnar Klubba við massar av føroyskum dansi :) Vh. Eileen EileenSanda (talk) 28. feb 2014 kl. 09:59 (UTC)
- I blåsen i horn, førgyllande lur
- ...
- Hann eitur Hans Petur, eg skal spyrja hann um hann minnist teg ella hatta svenska kvæði/vísuna. Ja, eg veit at Google tilpassar leitiúrslitini. EileenSanda (talk) 28. feb 2014 kl. 18:47 (UTC)

Hi EileenSanda, how are you? Here there's Sun, but is still too cold!
Please, I ask 5 minutes of your time to correct this page I made now. She is a Minister in our new Gouvernement.
Thank a lot for your precious help!
Rei Momo (talk) 6. mar 2014 kl. 23:18 (UTC)
- Hi Rei Momo, I am just fine, thanks, but the weather is bad and has been bad most of the time all winther, rainy and windy, but what can we do about it. I have translated the English text in your article about Marianna Madia. EileenSanda (talk) 6. mar 2014 kl. 23:45 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot, my dear! I can help you in IT or PT, see you soon! Rei Momo (talk) 6. mar 2014 kl. 23:46 (UTC)
Just 2 words for new page Maria Elena Boschi
rættaHi EileenSanda, how are you? Fist I want to thank you because you made 2 new pages about Italian politics, very good!!!
Second: I made this new page, copying quite all from Maria Anna Madia, so you'll have to translate only:
- lawyer
- she is Minister of Constitutional Reforms
May I ask, please, a littele question? Is Eileen your name and Sanda your surname? Forgive me if I asked a personal question, my nick name comes from King Momo.
Thank you very much for your precious help. Have a nice week end!
Rei Momo (talk) 7. mar 2014 kl. 17:03 (UTC)
- Hi Rei Momo. Yes, my name is Eileen and my surname is Sandá. I will have a look on that article you mention and correct/translate if something is in English or not good Faroese. Thanks, I wish to too a nice week end :) EileenSanda (talk) 7. mar 2014 kl. 18:19 (UTC)
- Oh, and by the way, the Faroese word for lawyer is løgfrøðingur in singular and løgfrøðingar in plural. Our grammar is quite difficult, like the German with four casus, three genders, not so easy to learn I guess, but of course in some very short articles which are about similar subjects, like Italian politicians, it is possible to copy/paste parts of the article. There was not that much that needed correction in the article about Maria Elena Boschi, I added another category, the one for lawyers. EileenSanda (talk) 7. mar 2014 kl. 18:27 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your precious help and for your answers.
I thought to disturb your privacy. I think that next Language I'll leran, will be Færøse... bu befor I must perfectionate Arab!
Have a nice week end!

- Hi Rei Momo, it's done. Thanks I am fine, we had nice weather here yesterday, but today we have rain again, we had too much rain last winther, nearly every day, so I am looking forward for the summer. EileenSanda (talk) 18. apr 2014 kl. 14:42 (UTC)

Hello
Hilsen --Søren1997 (talk) 18. apr 2014 kl. 14:54 (UTC)
- Hej igen.

- Hey, ja, eg tók tað burtur, tí at eg ikki kenni hatta orðið, eg havi altíð nevnt Bergen fyri Bergen og havi aldri hoyrt tað nevnt Bjørvin. Tað man vera okkurt sera gamalt føroyskt ella norrønt navn. Eg havi hoyrt, at man í tí nýggja føroyska atlasinum ikki fer at hava nøvn sum Burgundarholm fyri Bornholm men heldur brúka danska navnið Bornholm, sum er tann formurin ið allar flestu føroyingar eisini brúka. Eg veit næstan bara um Janus Djurhuus, yrkjaran, ið brúkti navnið Burgundarhólmur um Bornholm. Ásia skal vistnokk eisini broytast til Asia, men tað fáa vit at síggja, tá nýggja atlasi kemur :) Eg haldi at Jógvan í Lon tosar um hurlivasa í hasari leinkjuni til setur.fo, júst í samband við orðið Bergen/Bjørgvin, hann skrivar at tað meira forvirrar fólk, um eg skilti hann rætt, skimmaði bara tekstin ígjøgnum. Og tann fyrr leinkjan hjá tær er um eina bók sum er um árið 1349 (Eitt skip kom á Bjørgvin í 1349), eg rokni við at tað er tí at talan er um gamla tíð at navnið Bjørgvin verður brúkt, men eg veit tað ikki. Tað er rættiliga stór ósemja um hvussu staðarnøvn í øðrum londum skulu eita á føroyskum. Vh. EileenSanda (talk) 21. apr 2014 kl. 20:09 (UTC)

questions
rætta1) Could you delete this? [267]
2) I've noticed that some currencies are definite (like Føroyska krónan) and some are indefinite (like Amerikanskur dollari). Would it be better if they were all indefinite (so Føroysk króna instead of Føroyska krónan)? --Ursusmaritimus (talk) 30. apr 2014 kl. 11:28 (UTC)
- 1) Ok, I have deleted it. - 2) I am not sure which is more correct. Most languages use singular and indefinite regarding the currency, the Danish Wikipedia uses plural for Kroner (1 krone, 2 kroner). I think that we perhaps should do it the same way as most of the other nothern European languages and English. Then is should be "Føroysk króna", Donsk króna etc. But in a way it sounds more correct with the definete form in Faroese, and the English article actually starts with "The krone is the currency of Norway", which is definenite. The German title is "Norwegische Krone", isn't that definite? Like "Føroyska krónan"? Perhaps we should leave the króna as it is, but then there is the american dollar, if it should be in the same for as krónan, then it should be "Amerikanski dollarin". EileenSanda (talk) 30. apr 2014 kl. 12:21 (UTC)
- 1) Thanks. And I've seen this category, I think it should be Lettland instead? - [268] 2) Ok, so it's up to you, I am not an expert, I was just wondering about it :)
--Ursusmaritimus (talk) 30. apr 2014 kl. 13:03 (UTC)
More things! Shouldn't this category [269] be høvuðsstaðir instead of høvuðsstaður? And this one [270] Róm instead of Rom? I hope it's fine I report such things --Ursusmaritimus (talk) 5. mai 2014 kl. 22:08 (UTC)
- Yes, you are right about both. Yes it's fine that you report it, thanks :) I'll see if I can find time to fix it. Regards EileenSanda (talk) 6. mai 2014 kl. 06:27 (UTC)
- This redirection has a mistake - [271] --Ursusmaritimus (talk) 16. mai 2014 kl. 15:52 (UTC)

- This redirection has a mistake - [271] --Ursusmaritimus (talk) 16. mai 2014 kl. 15:52 (UTC)
I've created this [272] but I can see there is already such a category [273]. Could you delete the first one? Sorry for the problem :) --Ursusmaritimus (talk) 16. mai 2014 kl. 21:53 (UTC)
- No problem, I have done the same once or twice :) EileenSanda (talk) 16. mai 2014 kl. 23:34 (UTC)
Werddemer
rættaHello. You should take a look at this user's edits. He was banned on the German Wikipedia recently and he is under scrutiny on the French Wikipedia right now. He seems to have a habit of creating useless redirects. Regards, Bonga (talk) 3. mai 2014 kl. 10:59 (UTC)
- Hello, ok, I will have a look. Some of his/hers edits here might be useless, but I have also seen some useful, I often forget to create redirects, so I was glad that someone else took time to do so. Regards EileenSanda (talk) 3. mai 2014 kl. 22:45 (UTC)

Hello EileenSanda, will you be so kind, to delete the headlines of above two Edits? I had two mistakes there. Thanks and regards -- VerdunamMoa (talk) 6. mai 2014 kl. 09:57 (UTC)
- Hello VerdunamMoa. OK, it's done. Regards EileenSanda (talk) 6. mai 2014 kl. 10:02 (UTC)
- Many thanks. -- VerdunamMoa (talk) 6. mai 2014 kl. 10:05 (UTC)
Hello once more. Please look at above and there Frederiksberg. When you click it, you come to Keypmannahavn. There must be a mistake, because under Sæland you find Frederiksberg (in red). That can't be, because it's a town with 102 717 peoples. Who/when was done this mistake? Regards -- VerdunamMoa (talk) 6. mai 2014 kl. 11:12 (UTC)
- Hello again. The page about Frederiksberg has not been created yet, I have actually been living there for several years (but not any longer), so I should have created it myself, I think I will when I find time. Yes, that was a mistake to link Frederiksberg to Copenhagen, even if the two cities have grown together, they are still seperate cities and seperate municipalities. EileenSanda (talk) 6. mai 2014 kl. 11:20 (UTC)
- NS: Will you be so kind, per program at all Keypmannahavn|Frederiksberg-Edits Keypmannahavn delete. I did it now at Christian Bærentsen, where he died. But that was a coincidence. Per program it's simpler to get all. Thanks and regards -- VerdunamMoa (talk) 7. mai 2014 kl. 10:29 (UTC)
- I don't know about such a program. EileenSanda (talk) 7. mai 2014 kl. 11:11 (UTC)
- Probably you hävn't (de- and his dialect-WPs have it), I will do it manual when I find some. -- VerdunamMoa (talk) 7. mai 2014 kl. 11:29 (UTC)
Hello EileenSanda, please revert the headline, i had a mistake.

Hi Eileen. I expanded article about that band. Could you translate it into Faroese? Regards, Żyrafał (talk) 23. mai 2014 kl. 18:27 (UTC)

Hello. This IP created a considerable number of articles in Min Nan Chinese before deciding to write in Faroese (I honestly don't know if the Faroese is correct or not). You may wish to delete the Chinese pages. (Also, see the IP's talk page.) PiRSquared17 (talk) 28. mai 2014 kl. 21:17 (UTC)
- Hello, thanks for letting me know! I have banned this IP address and deleted some of the pages, I will continue to "clean up". The Faroese text is not correct, just copied from one of the pages about another letter. EileenSanda (talk) 28. mai 2014 kl. 22:38 (UTC)
Hello EileenSanda, is it right, that above is not in fø-WP? Regards -- Sweepy (talk) 29. mai 2014 kl. 07:23 (UTC)
- Borgarstjóri is a Faroese word and means mayor as you probably have found out. Yes, it seem like we don't have a page yet about "Borgarstjóri". There are many things that we don't have pages about yet. EileenSanda (talk) 29. mai 2014 kl. 07:32 (UTC)
- I have created a stub article about Borgarstjóri. EileenSanda (talk) 29. mai 2014 kl. 07:49 (UTC)
- CONGRATULATION to the best and fastest in fø-WP! Have a nice day and best regards -- Sweepy (talk) 29. mai 2014 kl. 07:55 (UTC)
Hello EileenSanda, please can you correct my above Headline from Carnitore to Sweepy. I think, I had a mistake. Thanks and regards -- Sweepy (talk) 30. mai 2014 kl. 00:05 (UTC)
- But the headline Carnitore is a red link, there is no page there? I don't understand what you want me to do? Did you by mistake create a new user account named Carnitore? EileenSanda (talk) 30. mai 2014 kl. 01:09 (UTC)
- Yes I did before. In the it-WP I registrated with above User-name. When you look at the side Brúkari:Carnitore you see them but in the above is my correct name Sweepy. -- Sweepy (talk) 30. mai 2014 kl. 06:01 (UTC)
- Would you like me to delete the userpage Brúkari:Carnitore ? EileenSanda (talk) 30. mai 2014 kl. 19:33 (UTC)
- Yes, that was my wish. You can delet it. Thanks -- Sweepy (talk) 30. mai 2014 kl. 20:50 (UTC)
- Ok, I will do that. EileenSanda (talk) 31. mai 2014 kl. 12:32 (UTC)
- Thanks. Now I will inform you, that the above, these before and my new are not a tactic from me. The reason for this is, that I was/am in it-WP present, too. But the registrations there was not correct, because I don't understand italian. I'm so sorry. Regards and have a nice weekend. -- Sweepit (talk) 31. mai 2014 kl. 17:40 (UTC)
Why do you keep changing usernames? Why are you now called Sweepit and not Sweepy? EileenSanda (talk) 1. jun 2014 kl. 05:55 (UTC)
- I don't know, how to correct at the it-WP. Regards -- Sweepit (talk) 1. jun 2014 kl. 10:09 (UTC)
- NS:Sweepy was there not allowed. Therefore I tooked Sweepit (composition from Sweepy and Italy) and I meant, this name is only for the it-WP. -- Sweepit (talk) 1. jun 2014 kl. 10:16 (UTC)

Question
rættaHello EileenSanda, please tell me, why I have in spite of registration, again an IP-Number. What must I do, to reobtain my last User-Name? Regards -- 217.224.211.44 25. jun 2014 kl. 20:25 (UTC)
- Just log in again, I can't see why you should not be able to log in again if you remember your username and password.
- I can see that you make edits again with you username Sweeper, so it seems that the problem is solved? EileenSanda (talk) 27. jun 2014 kl. 07:20 (UTC)
Good morning EileenSanda, please can you delete one in the site at "leita". I made a mistake there and tried to correct it. Sorry, but it's not succeeded. Therefore one inscription is to much. Thanks and regards -- Sweeper (talk) 28. jun 2014 kl. 07:06 (UTC)
- I don't know what you mean. United States Congress redirects to Kongressin í USA, I don't see any mistake there. EileenSanda (talk) 28. jun 2014 kl. 07:32 (UTC)
- When you search United States Congress, there' is it double listed, so one is to much there. Regards -- Sweeper (talk) 28. jun 2014 kl. 08:16 (UTC)
- Well, I have deleted it now, and when I search for United States Congress two results appear but I don't find any. You created the redirect in March 2014 (with another username) and you used the German word Weiterleitung and later changed it to the English Redirect. I think that is why is seems like there are two pages but there was only one and now there is none because you told me to delete it. EileenSanda (talk) 28. jun 2014 kl. 08:30 (UTC)
- Well, it's a mystery to me, too. I think, it's o.k. -- Sweeper (talk) 28. jun 2014 kl. 08:38 (UTC)
- Hello once more. A very good (so as you) German Admin told me, that's take a short time after deleting, then it will be correct. He was correct in saying. Now I edit it once more so you will be so kind and don't delete the new version, but now it is correct. Thanks and regards -- Sweeper (talk) 28. jun 2014 kl. 13:09 (UTC)

- Hey, it's done. Yes, you have perhaps just been away from the fo wikipedia for a bit too long :) I am not so active right now, I am on holiday in Greece, very nice here, regards EileenSanda (talk) 14. jul 2014 kl. 12:59 (UTC)

Hey!
- [480] - I'd like to create this category here, could you help me with translation?
- [481], [482] - Wouldn't it be better for these categories to be in plural (-ar)? I can correct it in the articles then.
- [483] - There is a spelling mistake here.
--Ursusmaritimus (talk) 28. jul 2014 kl. 15:21 (UTC)
- Hello, yes, you are absolutely right, there is not only a spelling error in the last link but also a grammatical error, i is Danish, Norwegian etc. í is Faroese for the English word "in", and Noreg should be declined into Noregi in that sentence "Fjøll í Noregi" (althoug many of us would say "Fjøll í Norra"). I have created a new category with the correct spelling, thanks for letting me know. Regarding the category American people of Danish descent, we could say "Amerikanarar av danskari ætt" (ætt can mean family relation, but it can also mean wind direction) or we can say "Amerikanarar av donskum uppruna", perhaps the first one is better. You are also right about the singular form in the second and third link, Bólkur:Tónleikabólkur should rather be Bólkur:Tónleikabólkar and Bólkur:Føroyskur tónleikabólkur should be Bólkur:Føroyskir tónleikabólkar, which is the plural form. EileenSanda (talk) 31. jul 2014 kl. 14:37 (UTC)
- Takk fyri! I'll let you know when I find something else :) (The incorrect bólkur about Norway is not deleted yet)--Ursusmaritimus (talk) 1. aug 2014 kl. 00:14 (UTC)
- Sjálvur takk :) I have deleted it now, thanks! EileenSanda (talk) 1. aug 2014 kl. 06:42 (UTC)

Hei. Fortsatt god sommer! – Erik F 22. jul 2014 kl. 20:05 (UTC)
- Hey Erik. Takk fyri gott samstarv á norsku Wikipediu :) Tað gleðir meg sera nógv, at greinin um Suðuroynna bleiv til eina UA-grein (Utmerket artikkel), tú hevur gjørt eitt sera stórt og týdningarmikið arbeiði fyri føroysk viðurskifti á norsku Wikipediu. Føroyskur politikkur er t.d. best umboðaður á tí norsku Wikipediuni, nógv betri enn her á tí føroysku. Túsund takk fyri tað. Eg hevði ynskt, at eg dugdi betri at skriva á norskum, so skuldi eg gjørt ein størri innsats har eisini. Men tað riggaði væl, at eg skrivaði um vinnulívið í Suðuroynni, ítróttin og annað og at tú ella onkur annar brúkari síðan umsetti tað til norskt, tað sum var á donskum. Vónandi heldur tú fram at skriva um Føroyar :) EileenSanda (talk) 10. sep 2014 kl. 05:16 (UTC)

Liv and Maddie
rættaCould you improve the page about Liv and Maddie? I think a lot of the information present needs updating. And it could use more info. Also the articles in Danish, Swedish, and Greek aren't very good either. I even had to take off the plot text in Swedish because it was apparently copied from another site which I found when I tried to find information about the show in Swedish. I wanted to see which episodes have been translated to Swedish and what they're called but all I could find was that the plot text was apparently copied from another site. That, and I found from Liv & Maddie wiki how to say "Bam! What?!" (Maddie's catchprase) in Danish. How would you say it in Faroese? 172.243.0.31 7. aug 2014 kl. 07:53 (UTC)
- I have updated it now. I don't know how to say Bam! What? in Faroese and why use it in Faroese as we see it in either Danish or English language? EileenSanda (talk) 7. aug 2014 kl. 22:14 (UTC)
- The last IP to edit the page looked like they were trying to translate the English page, but they did it in Danish. It also looked machine-translated. The Swedish article also contains machine-translation. I saw the Swedish article about Barney & Friends was deleted as a machine-translation in Swedish. I wonder if the same might happen if sv:Liv och Maddie is not improved soon. Like I said the page sv:Barney och vänner was deleted on May 8 as a machine-translation. 64.134.31.191 20. aug 2014 kl. 23:08 (UTC)
- If you'll look here, you'll see I added a bit to the cast in Danish. Maybe the info could be brought over here? Meanwhile the Faroese has more content overall, maybe it could be translated to Danish? Also how do you say personalities in Faroese? They undid the machine translation in Swedish, but now it looks dull there too. this edit tried to translate this text but got reverted. It'd be nice if the text could be correctly translated. 184.20.182.105 30. sep 2014 kl. 06:37 (UTC)

An important message about renaming users
rættaDear EileenSanda, My aplogies for writing in English. Please translate or have this translated for you if it will help. I am cross-posting this message to many places to make sure everyone who is a Wikimedia Foundation project bureaucrat receives a copy. If you are a bureaucrat on more than one wiki, you will receive this message on each wiki where you are a bureaucrat.
As you may have seen, work to perform the Wikimedia cluster-wide single-user login finalisation (SUL finalisation) is taking place. This may potentially effect your work as a local bureaucrat, so please read this message carefully.
Why is this happening? As currently stated at the global rename policy, a global account is a name linked to a single user across all Wikimedia wikis, with local accounts unified into a global collection. Previously, the only way to rename a unified user was to individually rename every local account. This was an extremely difficult and time-consuming task, both for stewards and for the users who had to initiate discussions with local bureaucrats (who perform local renames to date) on every wiki with available bureaucrats. The process took a very long time, since it's difficult to coordinate crosswiki renames among the projects and bureaucrats involved in individual projects.
The SUL finalisation will be taking place in stages, and one of the first stages will be to turn off Special:RenameUser locally. This needs to be done as soon as possible, on advice and input from Stewards and engineers for the project, so that no more accounts that are unified globally are broken by a local rename to usurp the global account name. Once this is done, the process of global name unification can begin. The date that has been chosen to turn off local renaming and shift over to entirely global renaming is 15 September 2014, or three weeks time from now. In place of local renames is a new tool, hosted on Meta, that allows for global renames on all wikis where the name is not registered will be deployed.
Your help is greatly needed during this process and going forward in the future if, as a bureaucrat, renaming users is something that you do or have an interest in participating in. The Wikimedia Stewards have set up, and are in charge of, a new community usergroup on Meta in order to share knowledge and work together on renaming accounts globally, called Global renamers. Stewards are in the process of creating documentation to help global renamers to get used to and learn more about global accounts and tools and Meta in general as well as the application format. As transparency is a valuable thing in our movement, the Stewards would like to have at least a brief public application period. If you are an experienced renamer as a local bureaucrat, the process of becoming a part of this group could take as little as 24 hours to complete. You, as a bureaucrat, should be able to apply for the global renamer right on Meta by the requests for global permissions page on 1 September, a week from now.
In the meantime please update your local page where users request renames to reflect this move to global renaming, and if there is a rename request and the user has edited more than one wiki with the name, please send them to the request page for a global rename.
Stewards greatly appreciate the trust local communities have in you and want to make this transition as easy as possible so that the two groups can start working together to ensure everyone has a unique login identity across Wikimedia projects. Completing this project will allow for long-desired universal tools like a global watchlist, global notifications and many, many more features to make work easier.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the SUL finalisation, read over the Help:Unified login page on Meta and leave a note on the talk page there, or on the talk page for global renamers. You can also contact me on my talk page on meta if you would like. I'm working as a bridge between Wikimedia Foundation Engineering and Product Development, Wikimedia Stewards, and you to assure that SUL finalisation goes as smoothly as possible; this is a community-driven process and I encourage you to work with the Stewards for our communities.
Thank you for your time. -- Keegan (WMF) talk 25. aug 2014 kl. 18:24 (UTC)
--This message was sent using MassMessage. Was there an error? Report it!

Ellers burde i installere Hotcat.
- Mange tak skal du have. Venlig hilsen --Søren1997 (talk) 8. sep 2014 kl. 06:01 (UTC)

rættaHello! Sorry for writing in English. As you're an administrator here, please check the message I left on MediaWiki talk:Licenses and the village pump. Thanks, Nemo 18. sep 2014 kl. 19:22 (UTC)
Magtfordelingsprincippet
EileenSanda (talk) 22. sep 2014 kl. 07:29 (UTC)
Request
rættaDear Eileen, I was wondering if you could help me out by writing about some of these villages in the Faroe Islands: Mikladalur, Syðradalur, Norðoyri, Leynar, Skælingur, Norðtoftir, Sund, Kolbanargjógv, Innan Glyvur, Hellurnar, Stykkið, Húsar, Depil, Válur, Múli, Svínáir, Morskranes and Ánir. Several of them have articles in Danish, Norwegian or English, see for instance Depil, Múli, Ánir, Mikladalur, Norðoyri, and Sund. Bazzy11 (talk) 22. sep 2014 kl. 05:36 (UTC)
- Hello. I will see what I can do about that. I come from the suthernmost island, the villages you mention are in the northern part of the Faroes, I don't know that much about them, but of course text from the other Wikipedias could be translated into Faroese. Meistaraverk Disney
Nemliga fyri at sleppa undan "danismum". :) Øll hava sjálvandi rætt til sínar meiningar, men eg meti heitini ikki at vera "vánaligt føroyskt", tá tað kemur frá hesum frálíku orðabókum. Nú eri eg somikið nýggj her, at eg taki sjálvandi ímóti allari hjálp, og hugskotum. Men sjálvandi, um tú metur annað vera betri, ert tú meir enn vælkomin at broyta tað. :) Gleði meg tó at skriva fleiri greinar, og fáa input frá tær í framtíðini. Altíð deiligt at hoyra hvat onnur halda, og hvussu ein kann forbetra seg. :)
Vinarliga Skótin.
- Hey Skótin. Ok, eg havi ikki atgongd til orðabók Sprotans, gangi ikki í skúla og eri ikki lærari og havi ikki keypt mær atgongd, havi tó orðabøkur í pappírsformi, men tími ofta ikki at reisa meg eftir henni fyri at sláa upp ;) Viðvíkjandi "bjargaranir", heldur tú ikki at har bara manglar eitt r, so tað heldur skal vera bjargararnir? Man bókin ikki finnast á føroykum? Um hon ger tað, so er sjálvandi best at nýta tað heiti, men eg veit ikki. Tað eitur ikki í Ævintýralandi? Ok, um orðabókin sigur "Frúin" som má tað eisini vera rætt, eg vildi bara hildi at tað eitur "Frúan", finni eisini bara íslendsk leitiúrslit tá eg leiti eftir "Frúin" á google. Men eg fari ikki at trætast við eina føroyska orðabók ;) Orsakað at eg skrivaði "ljóðar sum vánaligt føroyskt", eg taki tað í meg aftur. Vinarliga EileenSanda (talk) 3. des 2014 kl. 07:15 (UTC)
Eg eri púra einig við tær. Hasi "r"ini eru eru ein tastivilla av mínari síðu. Eg eri heil íslensk, so eg skal ikki nokta at eg ofta verði ávirkað av íslenskum, men eg keypti mær so atgongd at Sprotanum til at vera heilt vís. Men sum eg segði í fyrri upplegginum, altíð deiligt við viðmerkingum og uppskotum. So ikki vera bangin fyri at rætta meg um eg komi til at traðka við síðunar av onkuntíð. :)
Expand
rættaHello!
I'm not very active here, but in 2013 (and even 2014) I just tested this language-version. I added a lot of articles about Sweden. Then, suddenly, a mass call for deletions begun in November 2014. I quickly begun to expand and mass-adding sources (thank you for expanding). Shouldn't we just remove those delete-template. These articles are short, but most of them have nothing controversial. Just a few words are always better than no article at all. Remember this is a minor language version. If articles ends up deleted, it may take years before many of them reappear. J 1982 (talk) 7. des 2014 kl. 19:48 (UTC)
- Hello, yes I agree, I think Niceley just got annoyed because there were so many stub articles with little content, but I don't agree with him thpat these should be deleted, not at all, some of the articles he wishes to delete have a few sentences, categories and even infoboxes, I really don't see why they should be deleted. It stresses me to know that all these articles have deletion tags. No, I know that there is nothing controversial in the articles, and they are notable. I am trying to expand the articles, but it takes time, long time. Yes I agree with you that the tags should be removed.

Fx:
- Tillader fo.wikipedia fair use?
3) Super. Du sletter bare når du er klar. Husk dog at tjekke inden du sletter ;-)
Hvad siger du til det? --MGA73 (talk) 17. des 2014 kl. 07:25 (UTC)

Fair use

- § 53. Upphavsrætturin stendur við í 70 ár frá ársskiftinum, eftir at upphavsmaðurin doyði. Er talan um verk sambært § 7, verða hesi 70 árini roknað frá fyrsta ársskifti eftir, at tann upphavsmaðurin, ið livdi longst, doyði. Upphavsrættur til filmar stendur tó við í 70 ár frá ársskiftinum, eftir at tann, ið livdi longst av niðanfyri nevndu upphavsmonnum, doyði:
- Fotomyndir (Fotos)
Mvh. EileenSanda (talk) 27. des 2014 kl. 16:05 (UTC)
Tak for hjælpen!
I stk.
- § 26. Er neyðugt av tøkniávum ella vegna nýtslu at broyta ein bygning, kann tað verða gjørt, uttan at upphavsmaðurin góðkennir hetta.
- Stk. 2. Til ber, uttan loyvi frá upphavsmanninum, at broyta brúkslutir, ið eru vardir.
Som betyder:
Vit koma aftur (hugsi eg)
Hopi at vit síggjast, um ella tá ið tit koma til Føroya :) Vinarlig heilsan EileenSanda (talk) 28. des 2014 kl. 23:26 (UTC)
