Interwiki Bot Status

Hi. I would like to get my interwiki bot YurikBot marked as a bot in your language. The bot is already operating in almost 50 languages, and it would lower the server load and improve the quality of articles if all interwikies are updated at the same time. You can read more or ask questions here. I always run the latest version of the Pywikipediabot (i am also one of the developers of this project). The request for the bot status is here. Hello, I have a short question: Was Føroyar a EFTA member? -- de:Benutzer:San Jose, 19. Jul. 2006

- Føroyar were a member in EFTA from 1967 to 1973, when Denmark became a member of the then EEC later EU. Føroyar is not a member of the EU and the membership of EFTA was discontinued because Føroyar was not a sovereign nation. gis 20. jul 2006 kl. 18:55 (UTC)

TuvicBot

I would like a bot flag to run my interwiki-bot TuvicBot (using Pywikipedia). This bot will run in manually assisted mode, adding and updating interwiki-links, using the Dutch wiki as a starting point. I'm mostly planning to solve interwikis that autonomous bot skip because they're ambigious. (And sorry for not speaking in your language :-() A list with wikis where TuvicBot has bot status can be found at nl:Gebruiker:TuvicBot/Bot-status, if you're interested.

Hi, my apologies for not being able to write in your native language. I'd like to ask for community permission to run my interwiki bot SieBot on this site. It will make use of the standard pywikipedia bot interwiki.py and add interwiki links to fo: if I find any that are not yet present during my runs on nl:. On request I can also run a full scan here on fo:, which I intend to do once bot status is granted, unless there are objections to this. Tað føroyska malið är inte så lätt att förstå sig på för en stackars svensk. Jag skulle vilja hitta ämnesområden och personer som sysslar med till exempel matematik; men det ordet verkar inte gå att hitta från forsiðan. (Är det månne matematik som är 'teldisfrøði'?) Kategorier heter däremot tydligen categories på färöiska, det ser jag längst ner på sidorna:-).

Finns det något sätt att hitta en lista över alla kategorier på fo:wikipedia?

Eftersom jag är också är kvadintresserad, skulle jag också vilja veta om det finns någon artikel om CCF (alltså Corpus Carminum Færoensium. Føroya kvæði), under vilket som helst namn. Jörgen B 31. okt 2006 kl. 22:19 (UTC)

Channel for figthing vandalism

Someone might want to translate this notis into the local language

Several languages in Scandinavia are about to set up a channels for fighting vandalism, most likely a common channel will be called #vandalism-scan-wp with additional channels for local languages if necessary. For about 8 months such a channel has been active for Norwegian (Bokmål) Wikipedia and the increased effectivness in vandal fighting is very nice as it lets the users spend less time loooking for vandalism and more time on writing articles. Some of the larger languages will use separate channels for reporting vandalism, and some of the smaller will report directly into the common channel.
