Hello. I am wondering why you wish to delete some redirects to counties, i.e. Ukrayina which redirected to Ukraina. In the article on the top right that name is written below the Ukrainian name. Is it wrong to have this redirect? I didn't create it, but I am just wordering why is should be deleted. Hey. I think that some redirects are very useless. For example, the ones with Ukraine or Russia.
It is some phonetic transcription/transliteration from a foreign language and alphabet. You can do such transcriptions in several ways and many of them (especially the one with Russia) do not seem very scientific. It is just to show an approximate pronunciation. If one knows the foreign language (like Russian, in this case), one will use the proper foreign name. If one knows Faroese, one will use the Faroese term too. So actually, it is quite useless to have redirects for such vague phonetic transriptions. Furthermore, there are not any links from other pages including such a transliterations.
That's why I mark similar redirects to delete. What do you think? --[[Brúkari:Ursusmaritimus|Ursusmaritimus]] ([[Brúkarakjak:Ursusmaritimus|talk]]) 15. jan 2015 kl. 13:55 (UTC)
